Happy Halloween!

Party Pics!

Thank you to Magoo for sending us these great party pics! We love his Bee Costume...he is a busi-bee indeed! Auntie Karie made Anna a scarecrow costume so that she and her friends can be the Wizard of Oz on Halloween. I got a chance to sample some pumpkin that I had been stealing all week. It was scrumptious! The gang is all here in the first pic...only we felt a little bit bad for Bailey because he didn't REALLY have a costume. They put a tie dye bandanna around his neck and called him a "Hippie", but I am not buying it. I will have to take him shopping soon as I LOVE TO SHOP!

Momma took us to her Party!

Babs is 38 on Halloween and we had a family party on Saturday night...

Jet and I had another FUN FUN Saturday! First of all, Momma gave us baths and made us all fresh and clean for her party! We went to Grandma Karen's house for a birthday celebration for Babs. We carved pumpkins, ate Grandma's famous lasagna, and played with Bailey and Magoo. Here is a picture of us getting dressed up for the party. We should be getting more pictures from Bailey soon as he promised to send "Party Pics".

I think it is fun that Grandma Karen lets us sit at the dining room table with the Humans! It was a marvelous party!

Dental Hygiene is a must!

First of all, I would like to dispel the myth that I was eating a small poop the other day. Daddy did NOT see that and he just likes to spread rumors. But let's just say that I DID have breath that might have backed up the story....I still will deny that he saw any organic waste eating.

Anyway, Momma got us these little toothbrushes..."greenies" and they are delicious! I have fresh and clean breath and Momma thinks my kisses are tolerable. Of course, ChaChi tries to steal mine but Momma watches closely so that I get a chance for good dental hygiene.

Something is not quite right...

and I can't really figure it out. Momma took me to the Vet on Thursday and they made me really sleepy. I woke up and I was a little sore and I had stitches ....youknow...down there. I guess it has something to do with those little yum flavored pain meds, but I really could care less. I am still happy!

I am pretty relieved that I will never be a Daddy. I guess that means that I can be a crazy bachelor and travel the world with all my riches. Momma is happy because she said my Vet is the best Dr. in the world and she is happy that I don't even seem to cry.

Well, off to rest. Just thought I would let you all know about my newest discovery...

Once upon a time...

...there was a BEAUTIFUL pumpkin patch on my deck. Momma bought two big pumpkins for the human kids and two little ones for us! I went out to explore. Yep. Four beautiful pumpkins! Then along came ChaChi Lu, my big Sis, to explore the pumpkin patch. The next thing I knew, she had TAKEN a pumpkin ALL TO HERSELF!

SHE IS SUCH A PUMPKIN HOG! Does she think that by taking it in the house, I won't be able to get it????

WOW. Such is the life of ME.

Ok, I was GOING to wait till Halloween...but now I see that my friend Lucy is getting all the attention. This is I, ChaChi Lu Pink Champagne, in my Tinkerbell costume. Babs, is it best if I stand like this? Get the best angle. Aren't I precious? As Tinkerbell says, "It's all about me!"

Hi Furry Friends!

I just got a letter from my friend Nate. He is the Human brother of "Lucy" (the beautiful Corgi) and a friend of mine. He passed on these pictures of Lucy getting ready for Halloween. Isn't she marvelous? I am sure she will be casting some spells on the kids who come to the door. I am thinking she will use her powers to get many treats!

SO EXCITED! POPPY INTERVIEWED ME!

CHA CHI:
1) I notice that you have two human small people in your house. How do you accomplish stealing so much attention from them? What is your best technique? Well, we all know that I am cuter and smarter than anyone in the family...so it is relatively easy. Whenever a little one is getting too much attention I jump in the lap or roll over and get my tummy rubbed. Sometimes I have to resort to being naughty...like eating socks or stealing flip flops. Whatever works!


2) I have heard that Minny-Soty is a very cold place? How do you survive there during the winter? Do you have snowsuits? Oh, it can be very cold (that is what I have heard...I am too young to have any experience with this thing called snow). We are already preparing with our new coats. (See our previous posts....) We are still looking for good boots for our paws.

3) What is the best vacation you have ever been on? Where did you go? What did you do? What is this thing called "vacation" that you speak of? Oh, see...they haven't taken us on a vacation yet. I have heard that they are taking the family to Florida soon but I think I am going to my sister's house. I can tell you that Jet and I have been to many lakes...Calhoun, Minnetonka...but Babs won't let us go in the water. And we get to go to the local park...which is like a mini-vacation.

I think it would be marvelous to take a vacation in the master bedroom. They keep it closed off but I know it is quite extravagant with down comforters and all. THAT would be divine!


4) You are a very smart doggy to have learned how to go potty in a box. What is your favorite kind of litterbox and litter? What are the advantages of being able to poo in a box? Oh this is quite embarrassing...but we do our little duties in a pan...like a cat box that is lined with a wee wee pad. We have three around the house so that we don't get lost or forget about where to go. When we were really tiny, Babs would give us a Bil Jac everytime we were successful in the box. It worked out great. Being the daughter of a hairless mom and living in such crazy temps makes this a wonderful advantage. We use Pet Gold wee pads. Babs says it is like having the diapers around again. Diapers! Whateva! We are NOT babies!

5) This one is for Jet: What is it like having an older sister? Does she boss you around?Finally I get to post. ChaChi is a sassy, bossy, ......well, she can be nice sometimes. But I wish she would let me eat first. She makes me watch until she is full. Then it is my turn. She also likes to tell me which pigs ear is mine and which bully stick is mine and which snuggly is mine. Now that I am getting a bit older, I haven't put up with as much. My growl is starting to be perfected and ChaChi is a bit scared of it. Babs thinks it is about time I stand up for myself. We are still working out the family dynamics...

Poppy, thank you for interviewing us. You are such a dear! If anyone else would like to be interviewed...let me know. Oh, and this is me jumping on your couch exclaiming that I am in love. I have a big crush on Tad the Chinese Crested. But Shhhh, don't tell anyone, K?

Game night!

So Jet was totally excited to partake in Game Night. He was so excited to explore the game of life and the bowl of popcorn that Daddy and Anna made. I, however, was unimpressed. I decided to snuggle into the quilt that was made out of college sweatshirts. Whateva! It is just a game! Jet, don't you know that popcorn eventually falls on the floor? These kernels are OURS! It doesn't matter who wins the game.....the popcorn is OURS!

Fun Fun Saturday!

Let me tell you about my Fun Fun Saturday Morning!

First of all, Mommy and Daddy took us to the store and got us PIGS EARS!!!! Yippee! It doesn't even matter that they were using them as a diversion so that they could go to the SPA and get a massage. Mommy said that getting a human massage is like getting your ears scratched and so I think they deserve a little relaxation. Anydoodle, they left us at home and made sure that we were entertained with chewing and all that fun stuff.

But that isn't the best part about this morning. I got this new super fashionable coat. It is pink and suede and has a furry inside. I am so delighted that I am even going to call Babs.."Mommy" today. I am tickled Pink with happiness. Daddy picked out this blue parka for Jet. It has furry cuffs and even a hood. He is so handsome! For you NON-CLOTHED dogs, Jet enjoyed it so much that he fell asleep in it ...in the store! He was so relaxed and cozy. So you might want to try out clothes because Jet and I think they are delightful!

So we are prepared for the Minnesota Winter. Even though we are litter box trained, it will be good to get outside once and a while....even when it is chilly.

Oh, and Saturday is just starting. Mommy is home now and relaxed as EVER! I bet I get to take a nap with her soon......Goodie!

A Letter from BAILEY!

Dear Ms. ChaChiLu and Sir Jet,
Attached are two pictures of me. Yes, Iam learning to write on the
computer. Anyway, Grandma bought a new camera and it is a Canon SLR.
Something about it being fancy and having a big zoom lens and all sorts of
bells and whistles. She is going to classes to learn how to use it and then
she wants to take more pictures of the Grand Canyon and Painted Dessert etc.
this winter.
Anyway, she gave me my ball to play with and thought it would be a cute
picture.....then I tasted it.... Yuk! Maybe she will have to put it in the
wash!
So, there you have it. I'm learning to be just as fussy as you.

Minnesota Fall

Something is happening right now that always makes me stop and take a second look. It is Fall. Minnesota could NOT be more wonderful than a great October day. Playing tennis, walking the dogs, or sitting by the fire pit is so enjoyable. The kids are begging for Honeycrisp apples instead of junk food...and pumpkin sneaks it's way into recipes.

For us, the Minnesota Fall is way too short. We think back on the Halloween Blizzard of 1991
We were first married and living in an apartment. One day it was leaves and the next day we had to dig our car out of snow drifts...and all we had at the time was a BBQ spatula that was a wedding gift. Why would two college students have a shovel? Too funny.

So let the laundry pile up....I am going out there to enjoy. Before you know it, I will look like Nanook of the North in my coat and boots scraping the frost off my windshield.

Fun facts about Jet and ChaChi Lu

1.) We live in Minnesota and the weather is starting to turn cold. Jet could care less but ChaChi won't put a paw out the door without an extra scoot from us.

2.) ChaChi sleeps way inside a snuggly and just peeks her head out. Sometimes Jet sleeps right on top of the snuggly...with ChaChi inside!

3.) Jet is from Texas.

4.) ChaChi likes to walk on the OUTSIDE and FIRST when walking along side of Jet.

5.) Jet likes his belly rubbed and is eager to flip on his back when he sees you.

6.) ChaChi likes chicken, fish, and apples. Jet likes socks.

7.)Jet thinks he is a parrot and likes to snuggle on your shoulder and fall asleep.

8.) Jet likes to bark at leaves in the wind. ChaChi thinks he is crazy! She only barks at really scary stuff like the mail carrier bringing a package to the door.

9.) Jet loves to lick and kiss ChaChi's eyes and ears. ChaChi loves it!
